Forget streams and TV specials,

they’d queue round the block

at Molineux.

The people’s picture house of pass and move

its subways and separate stands

setting a scene for the feature.

Billy Wright and Peter Broadbent

in the good seats, there for a show,

and to make sure the latest stars are up to scratch.

They’d come from miles around to watch,

a match under the lights,

seeing off Honved under 60 sparkling lamps.

It isn’t just the Wolves,

it’s Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

England’s fine club

Etched in old gold.
