Loftus Road, Queens Park Rangers.

It doesn’t need the light shows and razzmatazz brought into replace the organic noise that’s been sucked out of football.

The thunk of a pint glass on the bar from an impatient punter, the rustle of his tenner.

The metal stairs rattle and the strip lights flicker.

Often the groans are louder than the roars.

The football does all the talking and sometimes not at all but that’s football in itself.

The best ground in London, with everything other clubs are trying to replicate artificially and failing.

Shot on disposable film.
