As a thoroughly enjoyable year of matchgoing and photography draws to a close, here are my top 20 football photos of the year, presented in chronological order.
They reflect my opinion that the most interesting things to take photos of at football matches relate to football fan culture (including dogs!) and the quirks, landscape and architecture of football grounds.
Non-league football has all these things in abundance, plus ample opportunities to capture them.
Amongst other things, this has firmly cemented my love for the game at this level over the course of the year.
A huge thank you to everyone who appears here, and to everyone else I photographed.
