Celtic Champions!: The Bhoys on film

I’ve been a Celtic fan all my life and have held a season ticket at Celtic Park for several years now,

I go to every game with my closest friends. I started analog photography as a hobby in 2022, and I’m now studying a Photography degree at college.

I’ve occasionally shot photos over the years when going to games, so have ended up with a bit of a collection.

Most recently I have started college projects based around the club, supporter groups, match-day experience and the fans.

All the photos I have shot are either at Celtic Park, inside and outside the ground, or areas close to the stadium in the East End of Glasgow, where I’ve stayed all my life.

I’ve been lucky in my lifetime where Celtic have been so successful that most of what I’ve been documenting has been amongst celebration.

Since 2000 Celtic have won 18 league titles, 12 Scottish Cups, and 12 League Cups.

Celtic’s rivalry with Rangers is immense, only recently have away fans been allowed back into each stadium after allocations were cut/stopped several years ago.

Having such an iconic rivalry in the city really adds to your love of the club. Every Old Firm game is massive, no matter what stage of the season it’s at, both sides are desperate to win every time.

Winning trophies and having bragging rights of the city are the ideal scenario, but not always how it goes.

In December 2024, Celtic defeated their bitter rivals in the league cup final, and this month they have secured their 55th league title, equalling Rangers record.

Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final stands between Celtic and another historic treble. Long live this period of success.

Both Celtic and photography are a huge part of my life, linking them together just made sense to me. Hopefully I can tell a story with some of my photos and attract more people to visit such an iconic club and city.

Every photo has been shot on 35mm, using a selection of cameras and film stocks.
